CPS Printing & Cordius Group are pleased to announce that we have added wind power to our Printing Green environmental strategy. We have done this by purchasing 1,200 Megawatt-hours of Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) to offset 100% of the energy used by our production facilities and offices. This annual commitment has the equivalent environmental benefit of planting 631 acres of trees or taking 164 cars off our local roads.
This recent initiative is aligned with our strategy to seek and implement environmentally superior options for our business operations. Our Printing Green strategy is a comprehensive effort to incorporate those energy-saving initiatives that create the greatest possible benefits for our community and environment. Some of the other key pieces to our Printing Green strategy include:
Recycling: CPS Printing and Cordius Group have developed an automated paper stock recycling process that reclaims 100% of our stock waste, leading the industry in overall recycling efficiency. Paper is just the beginning of our recycling effort. We recycle every raw material used in our printing process; from make-readies, to plates, to ink.
VOC Emissions: CPS Printing & Cordius Group carefully track all of the chemicals used in our printing process and monitor the emission levels at every stage. Our goal is not to just comply with federal and state emissions regulations, but to exceed them by searching for ways to reduce emission throughout our production facilities.
Energy Efficient Lights: CPS Printing & Cordius Group utilize the most energy efficient lighting source available.
Inventory of Recycled Papers: Recycled paper has long been a featured offering within our paper inventory for both offset and digital printing. We are well-versed in the recycled paper equivalents and can assist you in converting your projects to a recycled paper design.
