Consider Renewable Energy:
Every time you switch on your lights, natural resources are consumed. A staggering 98% of electricity in the United States comes from non-renewable resources such as coal, natural gas, nuclear power, and large hydropower. Producing energy from these resources exacts a severe toll on the environment, polluting our air, land, and water. It’s time for a change.
Renewable energy sources, such as wind power, solar electric, geothermal, biomass, and small and low-impact hydro, can be used to produce electricity with fewer environmental impacts. It is also possible to make electricity from renewable energy sources without producing greenhouse gas emissions, which are believed to be the leading cause of global climate change.
CPS Printing & Cordius Group have added wind power to our Printing Green environmental strategy. We have done this by purchasing 1,200 Megawatt-hours of Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) to offset 100% of the energy used by our production facilities. This annual commitment has the equivalent environmental benefit of planting 631 acres of trees or taking 164 cars off our local roads.
